Long OOC meme is long.
This took me a few days to finish. Thanks to
thatotherpotter for the meme. It's good, made me think about little Superboy details I might not have thought about otherwise.
[Body and Appearance]
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Kon is very built. He's tall and muscly and, well, he can bench press a tank. His upper body is particularly muscular. And he looks even taller than he is because he usually is floating a few inches off the ground at least. Why walk?
2. How old is he?
Ahaha, complicated question. It's been seven years since he escaped Cadmus Labs at biologically 15. He was sixteen for about two years due to genetic weirdness, got over the problem, died at about eighteen, and didn't age while he was dead. So his ID says he's eighteen and we're going with that!
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
The most noticeable thing about his posture is that he tends to be flying. The only times he's not flying are when he's particularly upset or when he's in his Conner Kent secret ID. His posture is pretty relaxed. He slouches usually when he walks because he prefers to be flying.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He's WAY in shape. And he's got x-ray vision, heat vision, superstrength, superspeed, flight, and the always awesome Tactile Telekinesis.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
His movements are smooth but very direct. He's been given some very minor training in how to fight without superstrength from that time he lost his powers, but he's used to using the brute force strategy. If he's going somewhere, he's taking the most direct path, and if he wants to say something, he says it. He's not an artist or a dancer. He just does whatever's simplest.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
He's very attractive and knows it. He made out with his alternate universe self. Actually, he's done this more than once, but only once since coming back from the dead.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
White but tanned. He gets a lot of sun, since he's solar powered. He doesn't really have any scars. Invulnerable, and he heals quickly when he does get hurt.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Soft and black and shiny. He keeps it pretty much short and close to his head right now, but he's had some... interesting hairstyles in the past. BUT NEVER A MULLET, SO HE'S COOLER THAN SUPERMAN. If that was ever in question.
9. What color are his eyes?
Bright blue. And very honest looking.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
He's generally smiling, and he's got one ear pierced. When he first showed up he wasn't invulnerable, though his TTK worked like a forcefield to protect him. He could drop it if he needed to, though, so it is entirely reasonable that he could have gotten a piercing. Also, he doesn't have a bellybutton. No umbilical cord and stuff.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
He doesn't usually get tense, but when he does, it's his shoulders.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
He's got a lot of black t-shirts with a red S on them. And a lot of jeans. He has a few leather jackets, also with S-shields on them, and a bunch of over shirts he can put over the S-shirt for secret ID purposes. He's got a few nice outfits and some non S-shield shirts. Some.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
They're pretty tight. Bart claims he buys a size small on purpose, but it's not exactly true. Kon is somewhere between XL and XXL, and he tends to go to XL. He prefers a little tight to loose.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
Pretty much!
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
About half the time boxers, half the time commando.
[Speech]
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Pretty deep.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He's pretty loud, and he doesn't really have trouble announcing whatever's on his mind. Of course, he also has a tendency to announce whatever's on his mind. That filter that tells you when you shouldn't say something? He doesn't have it. Also, he's usually very direct and to the point. And honest. He's a terrible liar and he doesn't do it when he can help it.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
No placeable accent. He says "dude" and "man" a lot, and slangy type words like "y'know" or "dunno" and stuff. Oh, he says "stuff" a lot too.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
Mostly English, but he's also fluent in Interlac and and he knows some Kryptonian. Also, he's fluent in Swedish. Kon doesn't know why he knows Swedish. He suspects that at least one of the scientists who programmed his brains thought that they might get a Nobel Prize for their work and wanted Kon to be prepared or something. He pretty much always talks in English, though.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Umm... sometimes if he wants to say something to Bart and no one else he'll speak in Interlac? Or if he's in the future.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
Think about his words? What's this you speak of?
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Somewhere between the two. No one would call him eloquent, but no one would say he's ever not able to talk.
[Mental and Emotional]
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
Kon is pretty smart. He doesn't think he's very smart, though. That's the kind of thing that'll happen when your best friend's read a library and your other best friend's pretty much a genius. But he's got plenty of knowledge implanted into his brain from the cloning process, and he's a quick learner. More street-smart than book-smart, though.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
Deliberating? What's this? Like everything, he jumps before he thinks.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
He's very practical and intuitive. Metaphors are not his thing. However, he's got a healthy dose of idealism. He believes in good and people being able to be good and all that stuff. He's not nearly as optimistic about people as Superman is, though. He has his cynical moments. But he does believe that good will win out over evil and all that jazz.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
A spotty one! Fifteen years of education give or take were implanted into his head. Then he attended high school in Hawaii until he was expelled for attracting too much danger. He didn't have a secret ID at this point. Then Dubbilex homeschooled him for a while. He was simply out of school for a year or two, then he ended up in Smallville High. Then he died. He's taken a high school equivalency sort of test thing and next year he's going to Honolulu Community college. He's not very happy about this.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Well, the thing he's best at is punching stuff. He's actually not terrible at math, though he'd never admit it. When he does get it, he thinks it's pretty cool.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
VERY extroverted. He likes people and he likes chatting with them. Makes friends easily.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy?
He's mostly cheerful and even-tempered. However, when he does get mad, he gets seriously mad. And he can sulk with the best of them. (The best of them being Tim). It's pretty obvious when he's upset or hurt. He wears his heart on his sleeve.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
He loves meeting new people. He's relaxed and enthusiastic. And he's pretty trusting of them. Believes the best of them.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Act, I think?
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
HA. He usually is flying when he fights. So I'd say flight just because he loves flying, but yeah, if you attack him, he'll fight back. He's easy going, but he doesn't back down.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Kon likes pretty much most jokes. He doesn't always get jokes because, well, he doesn't have the patience to figure them out, but he does like them. He laughs pretty easily.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Don't think so? Probably a little crazy. You have to be to be a superhero.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
Escaping Cadmus, obviously, Knockout breaking his heart and turning out to be evil, Young Justice, Superman giving him a name, watching Bart's Scout die, starting dating Cassie, the Teen Titans, Luthor's mind control, breaking Luthor's mind control, dying, coming back to life.
14. What does he fear?
He really fears losing control of his mind again, or hurting the people he loves. He doesn't talk about it, but he still has nightmares about attacking his friends and being helpless to stop himself. He also worries about not being able to save the ones he loves.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
To be Superman someday.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
Hmm, there are a few things. He doesn't like it when people find out about the Luthor thing. His friends all know, and he tries not to keep things from them in general. However, he has not told anyone that he slept with Jenni Ognats once. Or will sleep with her. BLAH TIME TRAVEL. He fears Bart would kill him.
[Relationships]
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
Kon still claims he doesn't have any parents. His genetic parents, though, he doesn't get on that well with. Superman he's still half in awe of, and half resentful of. He thinks of Superman sort of as the ideal good, but let's face it, the guy's kind of a dick. And even despite the evidence to the contrary, Kon still worries that he just doesn't live up to Kal's expectations.
Then there's Luthor. Ahahaha, no. They do not get along. Seeing how Luthor mind controlled Kon into hurting his friends and such. And is evil. And he made Kon shave his HAIR. Kon likes his hair. Yeah, Kon is not a fan.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Well, turns out he does!
luthorprincess. He only recently met Lena Luthor, and he likes her, though he's a little wary of her. She is a Luthor, after all. But genetics don't make a person.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
His cousin Kara's cool. And he likes Lois Lane. And Power Girl. And Aunt Martha, who is his favorite relative ever. She makes awesome pie. Buuuut there's Superboy Prime who is sort of an alternate universe Superman. Kon is not a fan. Something about how Superboy Prime killed him that one time...
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Yeah, his friends. The Young Justice/Titans people. And he's closer to them than he is to most of his blood family.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Bart and Tim. Though in SWS Tim's moved from best friend to boy friend. He met Tim first fighting Poison Ivy, and Bart he first met on one of his outings with the Ravers. (Yes, I know, I have crazy detail memory.) But they became friends when they met up to help Secret, and then they made a team.
6. Does he have other close friends?
LOTS! Canonically, there's Cissie, Greta, Mia, Gar, Traya, Anita, Slobo, the entire Legion of Super Heroes, others that I'm probably forgetting.
In SWS, he's also made pretty close friends with Tabby Smith (Marvel) and Sirius Black (Harry Potter). Aaand again I'm probably forgetting people.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
Kon gets along pretty well with everyone.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
There isn't much of a separation in his mind. People he loves are important. Blood doesn't determine who he loves.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
He's dating. In OTC, he's dating Cassie. In SWS, he's dating Cassie AND Tim.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
Nope, and he'd never want to be. He's pretty monogamous by nature. He doesn't do things half way, so when he's in love, he's totally, head over heels insane in love. In SWS he is dating two people, but he's managed to fall for both of them, so it works. But it was touch and go for a while.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
Tana Moon. He did date her for a while, and he watched her die. Like I said, he doesn't crush when he's in love. Except on Sarah Michelle Gellar. But that's because he's obsessed with Wendy the Werewolf Stalker. Okay, maybe he crushes on Joss Whedon a little too.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
Well, he usually ends up with people who can kick his ass in one way or another. If they aren't stronger than he is, then they should be smarter. Actually, they probably should be smarter anyway. And attractive. He's a little shallow like that. I should add that these are simple guidelines and pretty breakable. And when he's not in a relationship, he's pretty easy.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
He doesn't have any kids, and he doesn't know if he'd ever want them. Maybe someday. If he lives that long. Also, he's sterile, so if he gets kids, it won't be through normal methods. Though his girlfriend's a demigoddess. Who even knows. Greeks are weird.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Yeeeeah... yeah, he does. Superboy Prime, Lex Luthor, Side-arm, King Shark... and those are just the obvious ones. He also will fight anyone who hurts anyone nearby. And if you hurt someone he loves, he will hurt you back. Badly.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Kon defies your normal human sexual orientations! He's really much more about people than parts (though the parts are nice too). He's probably about a 1-2 on the Kinsey scale, maybe? If you show him a naked girl and a naked guy and that's all he's got to go on, he'll go for the girl, but he's got no problem with doing guys.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
VERY important. Kon loves sex.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
He's pretty easy to turn on and not much turns him off. He's possessive, though. Very possessive. He likes marking people and things like that. Superman is his biggest turn off. Or Lex Luthor. Thinking about either of them in relation to sex is just… no.
[Beliefs]
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
…Kon isn't sure if his counts. Plus, I'm not sure when his birthday is. So no idea!
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Not really. He was raised in a tube, and no one really ever taught him about religion. Though the fact that he has a soul is very important to him.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Oh, hell yes. He's a superhero. Very strong views of right and wrong. And he's always had them. And he would compromise them if someone he loved was in danger. He's very protective.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Depends on the beliefs! As far as politics or religion goes, he couldn't care less. But if someone's beliefs are harmful to others, or say that other people are lesser or that it's okay to hurt people, then he's not so okay with that.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
He doesn't really have many prejudices. His friends are varied enough that he doesn't usually judge by appearances. He does have a tendency to see life in black and white, though, and if a villain does something heroic, he'll be very, very suspicious of an ulterior motive. So he's got an anti-villain prejudice? I think that's pretty reasonable…
[Daily Life]
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
He's comfortable. He gets royalties off of all things made with the S-shield on them thanks to Rex Leech, so he's not exactly strapped for cash.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
Oh, he's popular. He's got a huge fanbase. Partly because he really likes attention. So he isn't camera-shy at all. He's appeared in magazines, posters, on beaches all but shirtless… he's a young, friendly hero, and people love him. Since he got older and stopped being as much of a publicity whore, he's become slightly less popular, but he's still way up there.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
In OTC, he's sharing a house in Hawaii with Bart. It's a nice house, though it's as messy as you'd expect a house with two young men living in it would be. The food tends to run out pretty quickly, though. It's all Bart's fault.
In SWS, he lives in Smallville with Martha Kent. His house is very homey and clean, and he gets lots of nice apple pie. Aunt Martha's pie is the best.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Umm… Wendy the Werewolf stalker DVDs? He doesn't buy much. But he does buy a lot of Joss Whedon stuff. He is a fanboy.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
Right now? Nothing. He's a dependant, and like I said, he has copyright on the S-shield. He's going to Honolulu Community College next year, though.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
Saving the world!
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Kon will eat anything at any time. He doesn't eat quite as much as Bart, but he does like food and he can put away a lot of it.
[Associations]
Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is his favorite:
1. Color? Black and red. Tim knows why. ;)
2. Smell? Sweat and the sky
3. Time of day? Morning
4. Season? Summer
5. Book? Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Don't tell anyone.
6. Music? He likes it loud and offensive.
7. Place? Hawaii
8. Substance? …air?
9. Plant? umm… roses for Cassie? (Or Tim, in SWS).
10. Animal? Mule. He's dependable and a hybrid.

![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Saving the world!
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Kon will eat anything at any time. He doesn't eat quite as much as Bart, but he does like food and he can put away a lot of it.
