Ra's Al Ghul's kinda creepy (RP with [livejournal.com profile] mrsarcastic003)

Kon knocked on the window. He was really curious about what Tim was keeping from Cissie, but mostly he was just worried about Tim.

Tim opened the window for him, giving him a thin smile. "Hey."

"Hey, dude." Kon slung an arm over his shoulder. "Everything okay?"

He made a frustrated noise in the back of his throat. "It's a mess."

Kon gave him a sympathetic look. "You Bats are crazy. Think Cissie's gonna be okay?"

"Yeah. She's just--mad."

Kon turned to look over at him. "Dude, what's up? I mean, what are you all fighting about?"

Tim closed his eyes briefly. "Dick disapproves of a decision I made."

"What decision?"

"A... tactical decision. Part of my trying to find Bruce," he said, knowing he was being evasive.

Kon frowned. "You know that I'm not gonna judge you, right? You can tell me what it is. Instead of just talking around it, which, you know, isn't fooling anyone."

Tim glanced over at him and took a breath. "I'm pooling resources with Ra's al Ghul."

Kon blinked at him. "That's... isn't he evil?"

"Yeah," he said, exhaling explosively.

"I-- wow." Kon did his best non-judging expression. "I think I get why Dick might be pissy. And you probably should tell Cissie."

"Yeah, I know. I just... wasn't ready yet."

Kon nodded and sat down. "Well, man, I'm sure you know what you're doing."

He scrubbed at his face. "I hope so."

"I guess if anyone knows about dead people not being dead, he does."

"I guess," Tim agreed. "You don't think I'm being stupid or something?"

Kon shrugged. "I'll admit, it sounds kinda stupid. But I know you're not stupid. So I figure you've got it all planned out or something."

"I hope I do." He gave him a slight smile. "Otherwise, I'm pretty screwed."

Kon grinned back and nudged him. "Little bit, maybe. But hey, I'm sure you can kick his ass, right?"

Tim glanced over at him, smiling wryly. "Sure. The man who's an even match for Bruce and his league of assassins will be no trouble at all."

Kon winced a little. "Ouch. Dude, don't be wrong."

"I'll try not to be."

"Good." Kon glanced over at him. "How do you think Cissie'll take it?"

He grimaced. "I don't think she's going to like it. He's... tried to kill me--kind of--in the past."

Kon nodded. "Gonna admit, I'm not such a fan of that part either. I mean, evil."

"I know."

"Think he'll try again?"

"I hope not. He has another body, though, so I don't think he'll need mine this time."

"That's good. If he only wants you for your body, I don't think the partnership's gonna work out so well." Kon smirked.

Tim laughed a little, grinning over at Kon. "Point."

"Ra's Al Ghul's sorta creepy. With the whole body stealing thing."

"Yeah," Tim agreed, sighing. "But--I think he can help. If I can keep his damned assassins in check."

"He's sending assassins after you?" Kon sat up in alarm. "Are you sure working with him is a good idea?"

"Not after me!" Tim grimaced a little. "They're supposed to be helping."

"Not doing a good job, huh?"

"Um. They're doing too good a job."

"Ew. Killing?"

"Yeah."

"Can you, like, tell them not to?"

"Yeah. And they even listen, mostly."

"Sucks, man. Why do you have assassins anyway?" Kon frowned. "Are you sure the whole R'as thing is a good idea?"

"I don't know," he admitted. "But if it will help me find Bruce, I'm not going to turn my back on it."

Kon frowned a little and nodded. "If you say so. But be careful, okay?"

Tim gave him a quick little grin. "I'm always careful, Kon."

"Good." Kon smiled back, then frowned a little. "Cissie's coming home. I can hear her."

Tim nodded. "I should talk to her., now that we've both calmed down a bit."

Kon also nodded. "You going to tell her?"

"Yeah. I've been meaning to anyway. I just... couldn't find the right time."

"I'll leave so you two can talk. Tell her I say hi."

"Sure thing. Thanks for coming over."

"Anytime." Kon grinned and gave him a quick hug. "See you later?"

"Definitely." He smiled a little. "Later, Kon."

Kon waved and flew out the window.
