"Well, it is a date, then! I wasn't sure." Buffy offered him a grin and winked slyly. Her face lit up a bit as he held the flowers out. "You're sweet. Hold on." She swept into the house quickly, rummaging for a vase in one of the cabinets in the kitchen, ran some water in it, and stuck the flowers down into it. That would hold them until she could get back and actually take care of them properly.
She wandered back up to the front of her house, then out the door. Buffy turned and locked it behind her, giving him a grin over her shoulder. "Glad you think so. Wouldn't be a very fun date if you thought I looked terrible, would it?"
She turned back around to face him and leaned against the door. "So, where are we going? And--" she looked around - no car - "How are we getting there?" There was the option of her car... But wait. How had he gotten to her place without one of his own?
