I was really pathetic as a human. I've done things in my life that I've regretted, but I'll never be sorry that I didn't grow old and permanently die a mediocre, sniveling idiot. Most importantly, I'd never have met Buffy.

That being said, I've thought about it, sure. Having a warm body, pulse, and soul? Being the man Buffy deserves instead of just a neutered vampire? Yeah, I've thought about it. And sometimes yeah, I wish it. But only if I could stay me.
